Coming Soon: Downhill Mountain Biking
Big Things Are Happening
We’re excited to announce several major capital projects for the coming year – including lift-serviced downhill mountain biking.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
Downhill Mountain Biking | Breaking Ground
This May, we will break ground on a multi-phase plan to build a network of over 15 miles of downhill mountain biking trails. Designed and built in conjunction with Highland Trails LLC, of the industry-leading Highland Mountain Bike Park, the new network of trails will complement our 10 existing miles of cross-country biking trails. Once all phases are complete, we’ll have over 25 miles of downhill and cross-country biking trails – the largest combined network in the White Mountains.
Phase One | Summer 2019
Construction will begin in May. During this phase we’ll build five miles of trails, including a green-circle freeride trail, a green-circle technical trail, a blue-square freeride trail, and a blue-square technical trail. Our goal is to open Phase One trails to the public in the fall of 2019, with lift service via the Seven Brothers Express Quad chairlift.
Phase Two & Beyond | Summer 2020
In subsequent phases of construction, we’ll build freeride and technical trails for more advanced riders. We’ll also add bike rentals and lessons, a bike shop, a learn-to-ride area and lift service via the Kancamagus 8. Want to learn more about the project? Read Our Updates on the Latest News page.
