Mazes of Granite
Board the White Mountain Express Gondola to Loon Peak Summit for another world of adventure, including Loon's glacial caves.
Located in the forest just below Loon Peak summit, Loon's caves were formed by granite boulders deposited during the last Ice Age. Kids and kids-at-heart love to scramble through, under and around the jumble of hulking granite masses.
Access to the Glacial Caves is included with your Gondola Skyride ticket.
Footwear
Athletic footwear is highly recommended.
Weather
Foul weather can make the rocks slick and difficult to navigate and therefore forcing a temporary closure of the caves. If you're visiting after (or during) wet weather, check with a Loon team member for the status of the caves.
Closing Time
The caves close 60 minutes prior to the Gondola Skyride close each day, to allow time to enjoy the caves and return to the Gondola before the last cabin departs the summit each day. See Resort Hours
