New England Pass Promise

We are living in uncertain times, and while we are confident that a great winter awaits us, we know that you may have some uncertainty about the future. That's why we are introducing the New England Pass Promise - our promise to you that we have your back no matter what the future holds.

What is the Promise?

Worry-Free Winter Assurance

Our new assurance program will ensure we provide the value of a full winter season for those who purchase a 2020/21 pass. The New England Pass is committed to providing 150 days of skiing and riding at Sugarloaf, Sunday River, and Loon next season. If the New England Pass offers fewer than 150, you’ll receive a credit towards a 2021/22 season pass. (FAQs below)

In addition, you will also have the option to roll over the value of your 2020/21 pass to 2021/22 for any reason, at any point through January 15, 2021.

  • Worry-Free-Winter Assurance is included at no additional charge with season passes purchased by June 15, 2020.

Extended Deadline and Easy Pay Plan

We have extended the deadline for our lowest prices and payment plan to June 15, 2020. Lock in your pass by June 15 for $50 down and pay the balance interest-free in four monthly installments beginning in July.

  • Please Note: Season passes will go off sale after June 15, 2020 and will not be available to purchase through the remainder of the summer. As we work to accommodate social distancing in our operations next season, we may limit the total number of season pass available to purchase in the fall.

Loyalty Discounts

To show our appreciation for your loyalty, 2019/20 and 2018/19 season pass holders will receive a discount on the purchase of any 2020/21 season pass when purchasing a pass by June 15, 2020. If you’ve already purchased your 2020/21 pass and qualify for these new discounts, we’ll provide a refund in the appropriate amount.

August 2020 Update

As of June 16, 2020, all New England Pass and resort-specific winter season passes were moved off sale. As of today, August 26, we have made the decision that New England Passes will remain off sale. Moving forward Loon, Sunday River and Sugarloaf will be offering different sets of pass products to allow each of us to best address the uncertainty and potential challenges of operating under COVID-19 this winter. Loon will announce our lineup of pass products after Labor Day. We fully expect the New England Pass to be available again for winter 2021/22. 

Loyalty Discounts FAQs

  • Guests who previously purchased a New England Pass or resort-specific season pass at Loon, Sugarloaf, or Sunday River for the 2019/20 or 2018/19 winter seasons received a Loyalty Discount on the purchase of a 2020/21 New England Pass made by June 15, 2020. Loyalty Discounts are not available on passes purchased after June 15.

  • Yes, you will receive a Loyalty Discount for the qualifying 2020/21 passes that you already purchased. If you purchased your pass in full, you will receive a refund on the credit card you used for your purchase. If you purchased using a gift card, please contact your home resort. If you purchased your pass on a payment plan, your refund will be reflected in reduced payment plan payments.

  • No, Loyalty Discounts are only available on full season pass products.

  • Yes. Your discount is based on the 2020/21 pass you purchase.

  • No.

  • No. All qualifying purchases, including payment plans, qualify for Loyalty Discounts if the purchase is made by June 15, 2020.

    To use this benefit, the pass holder must visit the resort ticket window. This benefit is valid for the pass holder only.

  • Yes, but before June 15, 2020.

Worry-Free Winter Assurance FAQs

  • Worry-Free Winter Assurance has two parts: 150-Day Commitment and Rollover.  

    • 150-Day Commitment: We will ensure we provide the value of a full winter season for those who purchase a 2020/21 season pass. Our resorts are committed to offering 150 open days of skiing and riding (As an example, the period from November 15-April 15 is 150 days). If we offer fewer than 150 days for any reason, the pass holder will receive a credit toward a 2021/22 season pass based on the percentage of the season missed.
    • Rollover: Pass holders can also choose to rollover the value of their purchased 2020/21 season pass toward a single season pass available for the 2021/22 winter season through January 15, 2021 for any reason.

  • The WWA provides a credit toward the purchase of any 2021/22 New England Pass, Maine Pass, or resort-specific season pass. It will not provide refunds.

  • The value of the credit will be based on the percentage of the 2020/21 season our combined resorts are not able to open for skiing, based on a 150-day season. For example, if our resorts are open for only 135 days, 10% of the value of your pass purchase would carry over as a credit toward the purchase of a 2021/22 pass. The credit will be calculated at the end of the winter season.  
    For resort-specific passes, the credit will be calculated based on the number of open days at the resort where the pass is valid, based on a 150-day season.  

  • The value of any credit issued for your 2020/21 pass can be applied to the purchase of any 2021/22 New England Pass, Maine Pass, or resort-specific season pass. You will be free to change the level of pass if desired. Credits will be non-transferable from the original 20/21 pass purchaser. 

  • You will receive a resort gift card with the remaining balance.

  • This program is included at no additional cost with all season passeses, including passes purchased on our payment plans. This is not available on New England 5-Day products or the Maine 4-Day. 

  • An open day is considered any day during which the resorts offer lift-accessed skiing and riding during scheduled operating hours for the day.

  • New England Pass, Maine Pass, and resort-specific season passes of all age categories are eligible. Season passes purchased (and not used) prior to January 15, 2021 are eligible. The New England 5-Day, resort ticket packs and frequency cards, promotional products, multi-day tickets, and employee passes are not eligible.

  • The pass holder will receive a credit for the amount paid for their 20/21 season pass. Actual age and/or pass categories for 21/22 passes will apply at the time of the 21/22 pass purchase based on resort policies.  The pass holder will be responsible for any cost increases if the pass holder is no longer eligible for a pass and/or a pass product is no longer offered. 

  • No. This option is non-transferable and may be used for the original 2020/21 passholder only.

  • No. This is only available for 2020/21 season passes that have not been scanned or used its benefits prior to January 15, 2021.

  • Pass holders who have not used their passes must request from their home resort between September 10 and January 15, 2021.  Any requests made after January 15, 2021 will be ineligible.

  • Yes, you can purchase a different pass. If you decide to buy a lower priced pass product, you will receive a resort gift card with the remaining balance. There is no guarantee that the pass product you purchase in 2020/21 will be available in 2021/22.

  • No. Ikon's Adventure Assurance is neither available nor included on this promotional Ikon Base Pass product.

  • No. If the Ikon Base add-on pass is used or another winter benefit is used, then the Platinum New England Pass is considered used and is no longer eligible for the rollover benefit.

Access Pass FAQs

  • Yes. Access Pass holders have been notified via email notifying them of their Loyalty Discount details. 

  • Yes. The Worry-Free Winter Assurance will ensure we provide the value of a season for those who purchase a pass for the 2020/21 season before June 15, 2020. Loon is committing to offering 150 open days of skiing and riding (As an example, the period from November 15-April 15 is 150 days.). If Loon provides fewer than 150 open days of skiing, then the pass holder will receive the percent of the season missed as a credit towards the following winter's season pass purchase. 
    Example: If Loon is open for a total of 135 days of skiing and riding, a pass holder will receive a credit equivalent to 10% of the total purchase price of their 2020/21 pass towards a 2021/22 season pass next season. 

  • Yes. Access Pass holders may use the available summer and fall benefits and that will not impact their eligibility to rollover their pass under the Worry-Free Winter Assurance. 

  • Yes, if the entire 2020/21 winter season was lost for any reason including Covid-19, war, terrorism, or a natural disaster, you would receive a credit for your 2020/21 purchase towards the purchase of a 2021/22 season pass.
