Loon Mountain Resort Commits to Clean Energy New Hampshire

Lincoln, NH (February 2, 2023) —Loon Mountain Resort has become a member of Clean Energy New Hampshire—and becomes the non-profit organization’s first Corporate Business member from the outdoor recreation industry. Recognized as a leader in the region, Loon hopes to bring focus to the importance of clean energy policy in the state of New Hampshire. “Those of us in the outdoor industry need to support clean energy efforts in the state—it’s our responsibility to do so.” says Brian Norton Loon’s president and general manager. Rooted in the White Mountain National Forest, Loon’s commitment to environmental responsibility was instilled long ago by founder and former governor Sherman Adams.

Clean Energy New Hampshire (CENH) was created with the goal of promoting clean energy policy through local advocacy and education. Their support helps develop more renewable infrastructure opportunities throughout the state. “Having an important business leader in New Hampshire like Loon be engaged with our mission is amazing. I’m looking forward to having their voice heard.” says CENH Executive Director, Sam Evans-Brown.

Membership opportunities are a way for businesses to engage in advocacy by supporting CENH’s initiatives. Membership allows Loon to make a positive impact, which will help drive change.

In 2020, Loon launched Flight Path: 2030, a ten-year investment plan focused on modernizations across the resort. A pillar of that plan is to Grow Responsibly Inside & Out, and the resort has set a goal to reach net zero by 2030. Learn more at www.LoonFlightPath.com
