Comp Team Update

We hope everyone had a great first weekend of training. Coaches were stoked to see everyone back out there, picking up right where they left off last season.

Congratulations are in order for everyone who competed in the first rail jam of the season at Waterville! The Loon Comp Team got off to a very strong start, with nine athletes on the podium.

CHECK FULL RESULTS

Make sure you sign up for Rail Jam #2 at Loon this weekend. We want everyone to participate in home competitions. Please let the coaches know if your athlete is unable to attend.

REGISTER

Some competitions fill up fast. Registration is now live for all New Hampshire Series USASA events, be sure to sign up well in advance so you don’t miss your chance.

Tips for Success

Check these tips to make the most of the season.

The Essentials

  • Skis, Boards & Boots: Kids grow quickly. Make sure equipment fits, and boots fit bindings properly before the season starts. Loon Mountain Sports Tuning Center can help you out.
  • Mark Gear: Mark your child's gear with their name. You'd be amazed how many skis and boots look alike.
  • Poles: Scouts do not use poles. Please speak with your coach about poles for Development Team members.
  • Have the Right Pass?
Be sure your child has their pass and it is active.

Pass Checker

Here's a handy way to see when your pass is valid.

To Verify:

  1. Click through to the Pass Checker
  2. Enter the pass number in the lower right corner of the back of your pass
  3. Enter the date you intend to use your pass

Dress For Success

New England weather is changeable, and it's good to be prepared. Groups go out in all weather. Please check the forecast.

  • Helmet & Goggles: Not required, but highly recommended
  • Jacket & Snow Pants: Waterproof/water-resistant outerwear is key to comfort.
  • Long Underwear, Socks & Layers: Best to have extras on hand
  • Mittens, Gloves, Neck Warmers: It's personal preference, but most people find mittens to be warmer. Don't forget a neck warmer.

In the Bag

It's always a good idea to pack extra items in your child's bag. Having these items handy when needed goes a long way to your child being comfortable in their sessions. Leave the bag with your child's coach, who will make it easily available. Please keep these things in your child's bag:

  • Hand and toe warmers
  • Extra gloves or mittens
  • Extra neck warmers or balaclavas
  • Extra layers
  • Extra socks
  • Extra undergarments and outerwear for youngsters

We Need You

Please remember, your presence at the resort is required while your child is participating in a seasonal program session, in the event we need to reach you promptly.

Get In Touch. Be In Touch.

Please provide your child's coach with your contact information and make a note of their contact information.

Allergies / Special Considerations

Please make us aware of your child's allergies, learning or developmental considerations.

  • No Nut Products: If your child brings their own lunch, we do not allow nut products, due to the high number of nut allergies.
  • Epi-pens: Self-administered, can be kept at the Seasonal Programs Building or with the participant. Ski patrol-administered, response time of 7 minutes or less.
  • Inhalers: Self-administered
  • Spectrum/Learning/Developmental: Please make us aware of IEP, triggers, behavioral considerations
