Ready to Rip
Thanks to everyone who attended sessions last weekend. It was chilly out there. The kids all did great, covering exposed skin and staying warm. Thanks for keeping them stoked to be here. The forecast is more seasonable, and we’re excited to be spending time on the mountain.
Programs run daily from February 14–22. If your child plans to miss any time during the upcoming vacation week, please let their coach know. Some coaches will be absent during the week, so groups may shift slightly. This is a great opportunity for your child to get to know other kids in the program, and make some new friends. Group changes will be communicated in advance.
Loon Triple Header Results
Two halfpipe competitions and a slopestyle in two days kept the Competition Teams busy last weekend. Congrats to all who competed, thanks for showing up and giving it your best.
We had many Loon athletes on the podium this weekend, which is awesome!
Halfpipe 1: 6 Gold | 6 Silver | 2 Bronze
Halfpipe 2: 6 Gold | 5 Silver | 4 Bronze
Slopestyle: 5 Gold | 3 Silver | 4 Bronze

Report Cards are Coming
We're about halfway through the season, and coaches are preparing report cards for your child. They will detail growth throughout the season and goals for the next few weeks. If you do not recieve a report card, or would like to discuss it, reach out to Joe directly.
Dress For Success
New England weather is changeable, and it's good to be prepared. Groups go out in all weather. Please check the forecast.
- Helmet & Goggles: Not required, but highly recommended
- Jacket & Snow Pants: Waterproof/water-resistant outerwear is key to comfort.
- Long Underwear, Socks & Layers: Best to have extras on hand
- Mittens, Gloves, Neck Warmers: It's personal preference, but most people find mittens to be warmer. Don't forget a neck warmer.
In the Bag
It's always a good idea to pack extra items in your child's bag. Having these items handy when needed goes a long way to your child being comfortable in their sessions. Leave the bag with your child's coach, who will make it easily available. Please keep these things in your child's bag:
- Hand and toe warmers
- Extra gloves or mittens
- Extra neck warmers or balaclavas
- Extra layers
- Extra socks
- Extra undergarments and outerwear for youngsters
