Bundle Up + Let's Get After It

We hope everybody had a great long holiday weekend. Thanks for showing up, having fun, and working hard toward your goals. We love seeing the progression across the board.

The weekend is here, and it’s going to be cold. Thank you to everyone who has contacted us about attendance this weekend. If you haven't already, please reach out to Joe Weeks or your child's coach if you plan to come this weekend.

All Seasonal Programs will run as scheduled, with some operational changes for the safety of kids and coaches. Groups will take breaks after each run. Children may also choose to remain inside and take part in fun games throughout the day. Please note: children will be required to cover all exposed skin when they are outside.

The Seasonal Programs building will be open at 8:30AM. Check-in and group formation will take place in the building. Be sure to check the Mountain Report for the latest updates Saturday morning. Download the Loon App for up-to-the-minute notifications regarding operations.

Bring extra layers. Check the list below and be prepared for the weather. Sometimes a fresh pair of mittens can make a big difference.

Dress For Success

New England weather is changeable, and it's good to be prepared. Groups go out in all weather. Please check the forecast.

  • Helmet & Goggles: Not required, but highly recommended
  • Jacket & Snow Pants: Waterproof/water-resistant outerwear is key to comfort.
  • Long Underwear, Socks & Layers: Best to have extras on hand
  • Mittens, Gloves, Neck Warmers: It's personal preference, but most people find mittens to be warmer. Don't forget a neck warmer.

In the Bag

It's always a good idea to pack extra items in your child's bag. Having these items handy when needed goes a long way to your child being comfortable in their sessions. Leave the bag with your child's coach, who will make it easily available. Please keep these things in your child's bag:

  • Hand and toe warmers
  • Extra gloves or mittens
  • Extra neck warmers or balaclavas
  • Extra layers
  • Extra socks
  • Extra undergarments and outerwear for youngsters
