POV: Riding Mainline
This 3-mile novice freeride trail is perfect for anyone just starting — or restarting — to build skills and confidence going downhill.
New Riders
We offer programs designed to provide a clear, comfortable progression path when you're starting downhill.
Free Lesson
A free, no-pressure introduction to the fundamentals of downhill mountain biking. During this 30-minute lesson, we'll give you ground-based instruction to help you learn basic bike handling, balance and safety techniques.
No reservation required. Come learn the basics of downhill biking.

First Turn lessons are free and begin at: 12:30, 1:00PM, 1:30PM, 2:00PM, 2:30PM. No reservation is required but you must check-in at Guest Services prior to your lesson time.
Check In
Visit Guest Services at the Governor Adams Lodge at least 15 minutes prior to your lesson. If you need a bike rental, reserve online and arrive at least 30+ minutes in advance of lesson time.
Requirements
Front-suspension bike and helmet. Must be able to ride a bike off-road comfortably.
Take The Next Step
This beginner-focused package offers a seamless stepping stone to the bike park. This package comes complete with a 2-hour lift ticket, bike rental and lesson.

Great for Families
The Downhill Discovery package starts with an introduction to basic downhill techniques on our Sarsaparilla learning area.
Then progress to load the Kancamagus 8 chairlift to ride the Mainline trail, our beginner trail designed to help you get comfortable and build confidence riding downhill terrain.
Package For Beginners
Downhill Discovery package comes complete with a lesson, 2-hour bike rental, helmet, protective pads and 2-hour lift ticket. The 2-hour lift ticket becomes active the first time you ride the lift. Downhill Discovery packages start at 12:30 and 2:30PM.
Requirements
A bike with front-suspension is required as well as a helmet. Riders must be able to ride a bike off-road comfortably.
Go All In
The All In Package is a full-day experience, designed to give you the skills and confidence to practice downhill biking fundamentals and build confidence. This package includes a full-day lift ticket, downhill bike rental, helmet and protective pad rental and group lesson.

Go All Day with All In Package

Kids Rip Bike Camp
These 5-day mixed-adventure camps are geared toward beginner mountain bikers ages 8–13. Let our experienced coaches help your child develop solid foundational downhill mountain biking skills that focus is on safety and fun while also enjoying some of the White Mountain’s other classic summer activities.

Private Lessons
