Free Parking

Loon is an easy drive from Boston and many other popular areas.

Parking is free and open to day guests. Parking lots do fill up, especially on weekends, holidays, event days, and powder days, so plan ahead.

If you're traveling in an electric vehicle, 13 EV charging stations are available.

Respect the rules of the parking lots:
No tents, No open flames, No alcohol, No overnight parking.

Boston: 2 hrs.
Hartford: 3.5 hrs.
Montreal: 3 hrs.
New York City: 5.5 hrs.
Ottawa: 5 hrs.
Providence: 3 hrs.

Manchester, NH (MHT): 1.5 hrs.
Boston, MA (BOS): 2 hrs.
Portland, ME (PWM): 2 hrs.

  • No oversized-vehicle parking is available during the winter season (November through April). Your vehicle must be under 8 feet wide x 21.3 feet long to properly fit in a parking spot.
    • Parking availability for longer vehicles can change throughout the day. You may be redirected based on real‑time space, traffic flow, and safety needs.
    • Even if your vehicle meets our posted size guidelines, staff may assign you to a different parking lot to ensure safe maneuvering and avoid congestion.

The River Lot is a oversized-vehicle parking lot for guests with a valid Bike Park ticket (or pass) during the summer & fall seasons only. The lot is conveniently located near the Kancamagus 8 lift with a short bike path for easy access to & from the lift. Available May 2026 through October 4, 2026.

Ticket Required

A valid Bike Park lift ticket or season pass is required to use the River Lot.

Vehicle Restrictions

  • Maximum combined vehicle length: 40 feet
  • Limited turnaround space

Prohibited Activities

  • No open flames (grills, etc.)
  • No tents or camping equipment
  • No alcohol
  • No river access
  • No overnight parking
  • No littering. Pack it in, pack it out.

Winter Shuttles

Local Lodging Shuttle

Leave your car. During the winter, many local lodging properties contract with Loon to provide shuttle services for guests of their property to Loon during the service dates listed below.

Service Dates: Weekends & Holidays*: December 13 – March 29.

*No Shuttle Service: Feb 16 – 20 (Presidents Week)

Morning: 7:30–11:30am; Afternoon: 12:30–5:00pm

Base Area Shuttles

Get around the base area. Free shuttles are available to any open base area during the hours listed below: Octagon Lodge, Governor Adams Lodge, South Peak or Escape Route.

  • Weekends & Holidays: Morning: 7:30–11:30am; Afternoon: 12:30–5:00pm
  • Monday–Friday: Morning: 8:30–11:30am; Afternoon: 12:30–4:30pm
Electric Vehicle Charging

Plug It In

Thirteen Level 2 charging stations are available at Loon.

Find them at the Beach Lot (10) and Children's Center Lot (3). Stations are managed by the SWTCH platform and require a fee.
