Know Before You Go
Children's programs for ages 4–13 are held outdoors at the Children's Center, located near the Governor Adams Lodge. With a dedicated warm-up area and a private learning space on the snow, the Children's Center serves as the perfect base for young skiers and riders.
Lesson Requirements
In addition to age, there are a few requirements in order for this lesson to be appropriate for your child.
Ages 4-6: Little Feet. Big Energy.
Meet at Children's Center
Children spend up 2 hours of skiing or snowboarding in the morning and up to 2 hours on snow in the afternoon. Beginners have access to a private learning area, with a dedicated surface lift.
Ages 7-13: Young Rippers
Meet at On-Snow Learning Area
These kids can expect to spend a bit more time on snow — up to 2 1/2 hours in the morning, and 2 1/2 hours on snow in the afternoon.
Rentals + Lift Tickets
Lift tickets and rentals are available for pick up at the Children's Center. A valid lift ticket or season pass is required to participate and must be purchased separately.
Chairlift Use During Children’s Lessons
During lessons, children may ride chairlifts with an instructor, another capable adult, or—when appropriate—on their own. Our team follows structured safety practices that include helping young children load, advising the use of restraint bars when available, and maintaining close communication with lift operators to ensure a smooth experience.
Please note that:
- Children 6 and under (or 7 and under in mixed-age groups) typically ride with an instructor or capable adult.
- Your child may ride a chairlift without an instructor or adult at times, depending on age, ability, and operational needs.
If you prefer that your child not ride chairlifts—or not ride without an instructor—please let our team know before the lesson.
