The Countdown Is On

The first trail under construction for spring is Lowline, a new addition for the 2022 season that stems from the end of Mainline and Spur. This green-circle freeride trail traverses the base area, above the J.E. Henry Railroad and provides one of the main routes back to the Kanc 8 and Governor Adams Lodge.

Overhaul, Upper Roundhouse and Hopper are undergoing maintenance and crews are rebuilding key features to get ready to ride on opening day, joining Mainline, Spur and the new Lowline.

What’s Next?

The next stage is to continue seasonal maintenance on the existing trail network. Work will also begin on Highball, a new blue-square freeride trail starting at the top of Kanc 8 that winds its way towards Derailer, Overhaul. Highball is packed with intermediate sized jumps, big berms and an optional drop as the trail crosses Loon Mountain Park.

The downhill network is a continual project and work will carry on well into the summer and fall. Check out the updated trail map and descriptions of new trails below.

Hotshot

Take a turn on Hotshot for the most direct way back to Kanc 8 and the Governor Adams Lodge. This blue-square freeride trail branches off from Cinder and features intermediate sized rollers and jumps designed to give you a quick shot back to the base area.

King Pin

Our signature black-diamond freeride trail will take you jumping and winding through the West Basin. Once complete, the trail will be fully loaded with features designed for advanced riders looking to perfect their freeride skills.
