Loon Adopts Procurement Policy

Loon Mountain Resort has made another important step toward our commitment to sustainability by implementing an internal procurement policy. This policy requires that purchases be made with energy efficiency and sustainability in mind. Adopting this policy will allow Loon to reduce energy usage and maintain responsible purchasing practices throughout the resort. The procurement policy covers some of the following areas:

  • Mechanical equipment for physical plant, grooming, appliances, snowmaking, vehicles...etc.
  • Electrical/lighting
  • Paper and other office related products
  • Food and beverage materials
  • Packaging for retail outlets

Vendor Products and services will be evaluated on their current environmental commitments and practices as well. It will be the responsibility of Loon to ensure that the policy is adhered to.
