Loon Snowboard & Freeride Competition Teams (ages 7-17)

The Loon Snowboard Team (LST) and Loon Freeride (ski) Teams' (LFT) coaching staff is comprised of current and past competitors who work with team members to promote the development of good sportsmanship, conduct, work ethic, athleticism, and pride. This competitive component of the Loon Mountain Ski & Snowboard School provides children with a structured training environment to help prepare for a season of competition in sanctioned events.

We offer specialized coaching for skiers and riders within the disciplines of half pipe, slopestyle and boarder/skier cross. Slalom & giant slalom training are offered for snowboarding only.

Members of the Loon Snowboard & Freeride Teams follow a season-long competition circuit comprised of USASA and other regional events.

Program Includes:

• 42 days of on-snow training, if all sessions attended
• Weekends and Holiday Periods from 12/8/12 - 3/24/13
• Holiday periods include: Christmas/New Years Week (12/22/12 – 12/31/12), Martin Luther King Weekend (1/19 – 1/21/13), and Presidents' Week (2/16– 2/24/13) – program does not include 12/24-12/25/12 & 1/1/13
• Foul weather activities if necessary
• Hill space for GS and SL training (snowboard only)
• Safety education
• Video analysis
• Free use of Race City for gate training
• Food & Beverage cards for purchase of lunch and/or snacks
• Express lift access
• Pre-season indoor goal-seting session and equipment evaluation
• Traveling coaching staff accompanies athletes to program-sanctioned event series
• Extensive parent carpool network for transportation to and from events

No refunds, except in the case of illness or injury that precludes the individual from participating for the remainder of the season. Must contact the Seasonal Programs manager.
