North Country Center for the Arts will host its 24th Annual Winter Auction on Saturday, February 6 at 7:00pm in the Governor’s Lodge at Loon Mountain. The Margaritaville themed evening will include a Silent Auction, cocktail hour, buffet dinner, games and prizes, and a Live Auction. Tickets are $25.00/person in advance and $30.00/person at the door. All proceeds benefit the Papermill Theatre’s 2010 season.
This lively and entertaining event is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend. Live and Silent Auction items will include Boston Red Sox tickets, vacation trips, season passes to Loon Mountain, pre-season New England Patriots tickets, membership to the Jack O’Lantern Golf Course & Resort, tickets to events and productions throughout New Hampshire, lakeside retreats, and an array of personal services and items including massages, hairstyling, and dinners. “There are good deals to be found, but really it’s all about coming out to support the NCCA for the upcoming summer season,” says Nancy Ehlers, who has volunteered for the event for the past twelve years.
Brian Baker, President of the Board of Trustees, recently announced the Papermill Theatre’s 2010 season, which will include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Altar Boyz, and Drood, in addition to weekly Children’s Theatre productions. While the Papermill Theatre’s new home, Jean’s Playhouse is under construction, the Papermill Theatre will perform in an intimate 150-seat theatre in the Governor’s Lodge at Loon Mountain. “The Papermill Theatre has been recognized every year with awards from the New Hampshire Theatre Awards for their professional quality productions. Theatre patrons regularly tell us that our productions are ‘just like Broadway’ but better because of our unique atmosphere and because it’s from the heart. We continue to raise money for Jean’s Playhouse, and the support of theatre enthusiasts, arts lovers, and regional community members is vital to our continued success,” states Baker.
Auction tickets can be purchased on the North Country Center for the Arts’ website www.papermilltheatre.org, by contacting the business office at (603) 745-6032 or by emailing info@papermilltheatre.org.
