When the snow melts, summer comes alive at Loon. Whether you’re ziplining across the Pemigewasset River, climbing through the Aerial Forest Adventure Park, or riding above it all in our scenic gondola, you’ll find your summer adventure here at Loon.
Some activities are offered at different times. Please see dates and hours of operation for each venue, at right.

Base Area Activities
Aerial Forest Adventure Park
Whether you’re a first timer or a sure-footed mountain goat, you’ve got to try the Aerial Forest Adventure Park. You’ll move from platform to platform high in the trees, up ladders, over bridges, and across ziplines. With five courses for all skill levels, this a great activity for the entire family.
The Aerial Forest Adventure Park is part of the Super Adventure Pass, which offers an entire day of fun at an affordable price!

Segway® PT Tours
Hop on a Segway® PT and let our guides take you on an off-road adventure. We’ll show you how to ride the self-balancing, two-wheeled transport device, and that’s when the real fun starts.

Loon Mountain Adventure Center
There’s more adventure packed into this one spot than anywhere else on the mountain. Scale the climbing wall, zipline across the river, bounce on the bungee trampoline, and then reward yourself at the Adventure Center Ice Cream & Snack Bar.
Bungee Trampoline
Discover your inner acrobat by jumping up to 22 feet in the air on the EuroBungy Trampoline. After somersaulting through the air for a few minutes, you’ll wonder why you never joined the circus. Participants must be between 30 lbs. and 200 lbs.Watch the bungee trampoline video.
Climbing Wall
Harness up and scale the area’s largest outdoor climbing wall. Start off on the easy route and work your way up from there. We provide the ropes, harness, and staff. Climbers must weigh between 40 lbs and 250 lbs.
The outdoor climbing wall is open daily from June 23 through Labor Day, and weekends only from Labor Day through Columbus Day, weather permitting.
Bicycle Rentals & Tours
Rent a bike and zoom through the forest on our network of backcountry trails – or take a leisurely ride down the paved bike path. We offer tag-alongs for tots, and we’ll give you the inside track on the best places to ride.
Franconia Notch Tour
Our Franconia Notch Bike Tour will shuttle you to beautiful Echo Lake in Franconia Notch, where you’ll take a mostly downhill ride along a paved bike path. Along the way you’ll pass the cliffs where the Old Man of the Mountain once stood, peep the foliage in the fall, and pass stunning natural features like The Basin and the Flume Gorge.
This self-guided tour leaves Loon at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Helmets are required, and can be provided.
Whistle Stop Café & Adventure Center Snack Bar
Work up an appetite, then fuel up at the Whistle Stop Café or Adventure Center Snack Bar. Both locations offer hot and cold sandwiches, beverages, snacks, and ice cream. The Whistle Stop Café opens daily at 9 a.m. The Adventure Center Snack Bar opens daily at 10:30 a.m.
Loon's Zipline
Test your mettle by soaring 700 feet across the raging Pemigewasset River. Closed-toed shoes are required and can be provided if needed. Riders must weigh between 50 lbs. and 250 lbs. A round-trip zip is $26. The zipline is also part of the Loon Adventure Pass and Super Adventure Pass.
Gondola Skyride & Summit Adventures
Soar to Loon's Summit on New Hampshire's Longest Scenic Skyride!
Take a short ride on our four-person gondola to the 3,050 summit of Loon Mountain, where you’ll find crisp mountain air and jaw-dropping views of the White Mountains.
While you’re up there, explore the summit glacial caves, hike the self-guided nature trail, or climb the observation tower for even better views. Visit our summit hut and chat with local artisans as they work, and enjoy lunch and stunning views at the Summit Café.
Purchase your gondola skyride tickets at Loon Mountain Sports, located inside the gondola barn. Your ticket gets you unlimited rides for the day.
Kids Find the Loon Lost Gold!
There’s gold in them thar hills! Pick up a treasure map at Loon Mountain Sports and search for gold in the summit glacial caves. Find the hidden treasure and take home your own gold token.
Sunday Summit Worship Service
Hop on the gondola and get closer to God.
Hosted by Loon Area Christian Ministry, Sunday church services at the summit amphitheater on Loon Mountain are inspirational, nondenominational, and take place every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. from June 22 through October 7, 2013. Services will not be held on September 8, September 15, and September 22.
The gondola departs at 9:30 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. service, rain or shine. A reduced-rate $7 gondola ticket is available at Loon Mountain Sports until 9:45. Just ask for the “church ticket.” Children five and under are free.

Summit Sunday Omelet Bar
Breakfast always tastes better on top of a mountain, so ride the gondola to the summit to enjoy an omelet bar that's head and shoulders above any other. The omelet bar is available every Sunday from June 30 to September 1, 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
