CEASE & DESIST
EVENT UPDATE 11.21.11
The ski portion of this event will now be on Saturday during the day.
Registration will be from 12:00-1:00 in the Governor's Lodge, cost is $15 ($5 off with your PEEPs pass). The event will start at 1:30 on the dot!! Men's and women's divisions, CASH prizes to top winner in each division. Awards will follow in the Governor's Lodge.
The snowboarding portion of Cease & Desist remains the same.
Saturday night the 26th will be rider ONLY! The jib course is open to competitors only both days...so sign up you'll have a good time!!event Registration is from 3:30-5:00 in the Octagon Lodge. Jam starts at 5:30.
$15 contest fee.

PIPE DREAM [Snowboard Only]
The Only Pipe Contest in the East... Snowmaking pipe jib contest that is. This summer we built 7 new snowmaking pipe jibs so why not have an event on them? The first of it's kind, Pipe Dreams is an all pipe jib jam session with prizes from heavy hitting sponsors like 32, Etnies, Neff, OneOhEight, and Rome Snowboards. Registration runs from 10:30 - 12:00 and the Jam kicks off at 1:00pm. Registration is $20 with a season pass and $50 if you need a ticket. Wether you have a skinny stance or wide stance, you wont don't want to miss this event.

Greenhorn Games [Snowboard Only]
Groms 13 and under, come check out the Greenhorn Games on January 21st. It is the first and only east coast stop on the tour this year!! There is no registration fee, but you must have a valid lift ticket/season pass. There will be a discounted event ticket for $30 at registration adn lunch will be provided to the competitors.
Registration: 8:30 - 10:00am in the Bunyan Room, free t-shirt to the first 50 participants thanks to Snowboarder Magazine. The event will run 11:00 - 2:00pm.
Divisions: 9 and under, 10-11, 12-13, and a girls division.

CHILD SUPPORT RAIL JAM [Snowboard Only]
Loon Mountain and Stepchild Snowboards have collaborated to bring you a rail jam you can't miss. Come chill with your friends and session the setup that our park staff has masterfully created for the day. No divisions, no pressure, just shreddin' the course with everyone. Schwag will be handed out to the kids who get down on the features all day.
Sponsors include Stepchild, Ashbury, Holden, Megadestroyer, NEFF, gnarly.
Lunch and a discounted event ticket will be available for competitors.

FLUORESCENT NIGHTS
Fluorescent Nights takes place under the lights of the Little Sister trail from 6-9pm all 3 nights. There is public access to this park all three nights for a cost of $20 for both pass and non-pass holders per night. $15 dollars with your PEEPs pass...so if you don't have it you better get it!! Buy your ticket at the Tubing Center across from Little Sister lift.

February 25th - Analog Go Huck Yourself Series, starts at 6pm!

10th annual SHOP SHOWDOWN [Snowboard Only]
Snowboard shops from all over the region and beyond send 2 of their best riders to Loon for a shredding showdown!! Teams compete in a jam style format on the most innovative features known to man!! 12th annual LAST CALL w/ Eastern Boarder [Snowboard Only]
This is the premier snowboarding event in New England!! Come watch the best of the best battle it out in the East's number one park!! Look for shredders like Chaz Guldemond, Scotty Lago, Bode Merrill, Chris Beresford, Chris Carr, Scott Stevens, and many more!
Last Call is all about fun, sun, and friends. For many its the last snow shredding session of the season, and we're all here to celebrate with our friends and watch some good old fashion snowboarding... |

2 PLANK TO THE BANK [Ski Only]
Thanks to Vitamin Water for putting up straight cash money for this event, winner takes all the $2000 so bring your A Game. We also have some skis and other product courtesy of Ramp Sports for the 15 and under division winners. This is a team event so grab a buddy and show the judges what you got. The Loon Mountain Park Crew will have a prime setup that will be unique to Loon Mountain itself. The setup will consist of 3 separate means of freestyle skiing. One by air, one by rail, and one by Unidentified Freestyle Object.
Each competitor will be judged solely and then the scores will be combined for the team score. Creativeness in the form of a dual run is allowed and will be judged accordingly.
Divisions
15 and under - Top 3 spots get product from Ramp (not eligible for cash prize)
Fee: $35 (includes: ticket, entry, and BBQ) - $25 for season pass holders.
**Skier only event! Please keep in mind the features for this event are more advance and will be in the big park here at Loon.
Open Division - Winning team takes home $2000

DROPPIN' IN WOMEN'S CAMP presented by OAKLEY
Droppin' In is for all ladies ages 13 and older. If you know how to link turns and carve it up on the blues, but don't know how to get into the terrain parks, or maybe you're just looking to improve your freestyle skills, then Droppin' In is for you! Our friends from Oakley will be invading Loon with Pro riders, some sweet yoga, and awesome schwag bags including an Oakley Goggle bar where you can create your custom pair. Camp also includes video review, private park, private rooms, lunch, apres, and 10+ hours of coaching.
Big thanks to Oakley for hooking all the girls up with some great gear. Thanks to Vitamin Water for keeping the girls hydrated, and K2 for providing the girls with an opportunity to demo K2 equipment during the weekend! Come shred with Oakley Pros: Gretchen Bleiler, Ellery Hollingsworth, Chanelle Sladics, and Kristi Leskinen (ski)!!
Price: $229 includes 2-day lift ticket ($189 for season pass holders).
Note: Space is limited for both skiers and riders for this event.

Street Cred
[Snowboard Only]
We've teamed up with the gang over at Red Bull to bring you the most unique street style park features you'll ever see. As you read this sparks are flying at the Shaping Shack to create features you've never seen at a ske resort! The event is slated to take place on Little Sister trail, with the jam starting at 12:30, and finals kicking off at 3:00.
Registration will run from 10am - 12pm, the event starts at 12:30. Cost is $20 ($50 if you need a ticket for the day).
Divisions are broken into men's and women's, tons of prizes including 2,000 bucks cash money...with room to grow.

80's Day
Do you often wish you were of age to party hard in the 80's? Well come on up and deck yourselve out...fluorescent one-pieces, rear-entry boots, and nappy rockstar hair are encouraged. It's like Holloween, except it's April. Last seasons even Slash made and appearance on an old Burton air....well maybe not, but it was one hell of a costume! |
