Last Call page flyer

The History...

Last Call was originally launched at Mount Sunapee back in the spring of 2001 and moved to Ragged Mountain for two great years after that with the help of Eric Webster. Loon Mountain's push to provide the best parks New England has to offer, made the choice to come here for the past six years a worthwhile decision.  Jay Scambio, Brian Norton, and the Loon Mtn park crew have helped get this event to where it is today.  K2, Oakley, Scion, EB,  Red Bull and Skull Candy have also given us great support and we wish to thank them for being our sponsors this year.   Hope to see you there!

The Present...

Last Call is shaping up to be the best ever!   This seasons course is shaping up to be the most innovative and fun yet!
Last call is all about fun, sun, and friends.  For many its the last snow shredding session of the season, and we're all here to celebrate that and watch some good old fashion snowboarding...with a flare of the new! Theres $5000+ in cash, Oakley watch with tons of other gear up for grabs. Thanks to Ogio, K2, Oakley, Red Bull, Scion, Skull Candy, Eastern Boarder & anyone else helping out.  It's sure to be a great time, get your shred-stick and sunscreen...and pile into your buddies automobile and get up here.  Registration starts at 8:30, event starts around 11:00.
Stay tuned for updates here or at www.easternboarder.com

We've had our meeting of the minds, and the ideas are pretty intense!  Check back later for more info.  Until then you can recap on last seasons shenanigans below.....

The 8th annual Last Call event went down super great.  80 riders began by lining up for our huge left side hip.  The tombstone style takeoff sent riders soaring past the Last Call height meter with plenty of room for boosting big.  Luke Mathison and our very own Tomcat Peplinski set the bar early with 18+ foot airs over the deck that made everyone else have to step up their game.  Current World Quarter's champ Bode Merrill took home a much deserved $900 Oakley watch for his antics.  Some guy (sorry, working on your name) was spinning 5's and I think I saw a 7.  Big Mike Gonsalves took the knuckle hard but rebounded heavy hitting with some sweet airs.  Local rider and youngest dude on course was Jacob Aaronsen boosting 700 time his height and Colleen Quigley showed the ladies how it's done.
A quick B.B-Q. preceded the quarter pipe/jib session.  A big, long quarter with a 45 degree elbow displayed our Red Bull podium box, giant LOON letters with coping and a random shopping cart.  People were dropping in all over the place like lemmings as handplants and stall's were thrown around like penny candy.  Brandon Reis was tricking like a madman, Bode threw himself around on the letters, I don't know if he was going for the wall ride behind the letters or what but I didn't realize he was such a big dude till I heard him land between the O's (see photo below).  Big Mike got frontside inverted on top of the L and Tanner Pendleton on the shopping cart and Wachusett rider Benji Pond fastplanted the O for some cheers.Finishing things off was, of course, a rail jam.  A double setup consisting of flat box to donkey down bar, flat down box with creepers on the flat, 2 pole jams (one launching riders over our 3 foot tall Red Bull can), dfd rail and our new sweet, sweet hubba setup.  Brandon Reis took it with some ridiculous tricks, backside three to 50-50 on a stair set, come on...Props to everyone who showed up for the event.  Thanks for your positive support.  One more Last Call event in the bag, thanks go out to Eastern Boarder, Oakley, K2 Snowboards, Ogio, Skullcandy, Scion, and Snowboarder mag for covering the event.
