Here’s your chance to be a part of it. Loon is hosting a one-song edit, video contest in connection with collecting footage from all of you. Day in and day out we see you and your friends having fun on hill with your camera equipment. Here’s your chance at being part of our movie and winning an 08’/09’ season pass with a six pack of tickets for your friends.
The contest is simple. Send in two DVD’s/CD’s. One with an edited short movie of you and your friends getting rad at Loon, 2-3 minutes in length, the other consisting of raw un-edited NTSC files un-rendered [If possible break down all the files into folders labeled by the rider names. This way we will be able to credit the riders for their heroics.] The un-rendered un-edited clips will all be reviewed and have the possibility of making the movie.
The edited videos will be judged on the filming quality, the tricks, the editing, composition of the movie, and of course the amount of fun depicted in the edit. Skiing and snowboarding edits or mixes of the two are welcome for submission. Everything is a factor and just because you have someone doing all four nines off the biggest jump in the park doesn’t guarantee you will win. As we mentioned before the winner will receive one 08’/09’ anytime season pass and a six pack tickets for their friends. In order to be considered for winning you must meet all the guidelines of the contest including sending in both a CD/DVD with edited footage and one with un-edited footage. You must also keep in mind that the winning edit will be featured in the Loon movie so your edits must be appropriate for all ages. Also, any worthy footage will be used in the movie regardless of whether or not you edit wins. All files and video footage become property of Loon Mountain.
Please have all submissions in the mail by May 10th. If you do not meet this deadline you will not be considered for the contest. Send all CD/DVD’s in a properly protected and sealed envelope to:
