Papermill Theatre, in Lincoln, New Hampshire, Kicks off 2008 Summer Season With Opening Gala and Debut Performance of All Shook Up

Lincoln, New Hampshire - New Hampshire's Papermill Theatre kicks off its Mainstage performance schedule on Wednesday, July 2, with an Opening Night Gala and premiere of All Shook Up. This new musical comedy about mistaken identities is set to the classic tunes of Elvis Presley. The Gala will begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner and beer & wine tasting in the Lincoln Village Shops. The curtain rises for All Shook Up at 7:30 p.m., followed by a wine and dessert reception with the cast. Special reservations and tickets are required.

The Papermill Theatre has a number of returning company members this year. The most enduring and versatile member is Schrader, who recently began his 18th season. Over the years Schrader has served as Technical Director, Scenic Designer, and is currently the theatre's Props Master. "Schrader is a wonderful, generous member of the Papermill family," commented Artistic Director, Kate Arecchi. "He is a mentor and friend to the many theatre artists who have worked at the Papermill Theatre over the years. He goes above and beyond to make the summer season a fabulous experience for company members and patrons alike."

On stage, John T. Lynes returns for his 2nd season, and will star as Dennis in All Shook Up, and Malcolm in The Full Monty, scheduled to debut July 23. Last summer, Lynes played a Wickersham Brother in Seussical, and Pepe in West Side Story. Originally from Meriden, CT, Lynes is no stranger to New Hampshire. He is a 2008 graduate of Plymouth State University. Roles at Plymouth State include Bobby Strong in Urinetown, and Herr Schultz in Cabaret.

Rounding out the summer line-up is Forever Plaid, which debuts July 16. "Since we went into a rotating rep schedule of two shows in 2004, the local community has been asking if we could produce three shows instead of two," said Artistic Director Kate Arecchi. "This season we are delighted to do just that with All Shook Up, Forever Plaid, and The Full Monty. Forever Plaid was a favorite when we produced the show in 1999, and we are excited to produce it again in a limited run this season."
