RED BULL SCHOOLED SKI WAS BACK IN SESSION: WITH
CARRABASSETT VALLEY ACADEMY FINISHING ON TOP

LINCOLN, NH -Red Bull Schooled Ski was back in session for its second consecutive year as seven of the top ski academies competed for top honors at Loon Mountain, NH.

The one day event concluded with Carrabassett Valley Academy (Sugarloaf, Maine) finishing first, with outstanding performances by studentsBanks Gilberti, Evan Schwartz,
Marshall Lacroix, and Sophia Peer. 

"It's such a fun event," says wining team member Banks Gilberti of Carrabassett Valley Academy, "it's the one event we look forward to each year."

Professional ski athletes Colby West and TJ Schiller came out to judge and show support for the kids.  Judging was based upon three elements: technical expertise, use of course, and style.  The contest consisted of Slopestyle, Superpipe, and an optional .jib element. Teams were made up of four athletes, three males and one female between ages 12 - 18 years old.
 
The daylong event concluded with CVA receiving a $2,500.00 tuition endowment and the coveted Red Bull Schooled Trophy for the year. Awards were also given to Chris Logan (Mount Snow Academy) for top male performance and Allie Lee (Waterville Valley Academy) for top female performance.

1st - Carrabassett Valley Academy (CVA), ME
2nd - Waterville Valley Academy (WVA/BBTS), NH
3rd - Waterville Valley/Holderness Academy (WVA/Holderness), NH
4th - Mount Snow Academy (MSA), VT

Top male overall scorer: Chris Logan (Mount Snow Academy)
Top female overall scorer: Allie Lee (Waterville Valley Academy)
Extra credit jib session winner: Andrew Hathaway (Waterville Valley Academy)
