LOON MOUNTAIN, EASILY ACCESSIBLE

LINCOLN, N.H. – Once again readers of SKI Magazine voted Loon Mountain one of New England’s most accessible resorts.   The short two-hour drive north of Boston and the two mile drive off interstate 93 makes things from the get-go an ease.  Before the drive even begins, Loon Mountain is accessible 24 hours a day by offering products online which include: tickets, snowsports programs, gift cards, food and beverage discount cards, season-long parking passes and New England’s popular Threedom Passes.

Once vacationers are settled into their hotel or condo, a quick shuttle bus ride brings them to the resort where they can enjoy the relaxed and eye-stunning atmosphere of Lincoln, New Hampshire and the White Mountains.  Tucked away on the western edge of the Kancamagus Highway, Loon Mountain peaks at 3,050 ft., offers a vertical of 2,100 ft. which contains 50 varying trails and 10 lifts including a gondola, nine different eating options spread out throughout the mountain, top rental equipment from Dynastar and Burton, daycare, day and night tubing, a first class adaptive and snowsports program, Nordic skiing and the #1 terrain parks in the East.  Loon is only 2 hrs from Boston, 2 hrs from Burlington, VT., 2.5 hrs from Portland, ME., 3 hrs from Montreal and Providence, R.I., 3.5 hrs from Hartford, C.T. and 5.5 hrs from NYC.

If offering top notch terrain, services and access wasn’t enough, the ability for guests to purchase products they will need ahead of time makes the trip to Loon that much more enjoyable.  Guests now have the option to avoid lines at the mountain by purchasing lift tickets, lessons, gift cards, food and beverage discount cards, seasonal parking passes plus the Threedom Pass online at https://store.loonmtn.com.  Guests may also take advantage of free day and overnight ski check, valet parking, the fun, free train ride between both base lodges and the J.E. Henry Tuning Center which has the most advanced tuning equipment available.  Located at the Octagon base area, the tuning center houses the Snowell tuner, the same tuning machine used by World Cup racers.   Loon has the only Snowell tuner east of the Rockies, and will tune equipment with the same attention as those of world-class racers.

Loon offers guests many different lesson options that cater to the needs of every level of skier and rider.  Lessons available are kids and adult group lessons, private and semi-private lessons and the very popular Take 3, Ski or Ride Free lesson package.  Specifically designed for those who have never skied or snowboarded before, Loon’s Take 3, Ski or Ride Free program allows you to take three-days of lessons at your leisure.   First day package includes up to 2 1/2 hours of instruction, novice lift pass, and rental equipment.  Days two and three include two-hours of instruction each day, all-mountain lift pass, and rental equipment.  Once guests have completed three days of lessons they will receive a Loon Mountain season pass to enjoy for the remainder of the winter.

The Threedom Pass gives guests access to ski or ride Loon Mountain, Waterville Valley and Cranmore Mountain Resort, all season long.  Adult, College, Teen and Youth Threedom Passes are available for purchase online at www.threedompass.com and prices start at just $299 for adults.  Threedom Pass holders also receive exclusive added benefits that include $10 off lift tickets during blackout periods, lodging discounts and many other deals at area retailers.  Gift Cards are also a great option anytime of the year and are accepted at any Booth Creek resort.  Gift Cards can be used any day of the season to purchase tickets, lessons, rentals and season passes.  Also available are Food and Beverage discount cards that reward guests with added value.

For more information on Loon’s E-Store, please call 800-229-LOON (5666) or visit www.loonmtn.com.  Loon Mountain starts making snow on November 1.
